Electro-Harmonix, a leading figure in sound effects pedals for musicians since 1968, has developed an app that faithfully recreates their circa 1980 analog cult classic, The MINI-SYNTHESIZER.

Available for iPad and iPhone (iOS version 8.0 or later), the EHX MINI-SYNTHESIZER accurately reproduces all the vintage synth sounds of the original with modern updates.

EHX President and Founder, Mike Matthews, noted: “Fans of vintage synths will appreciate the app's ability to recreate the original warm analog sounds and deep funky bass. Its affordability ($2.99 for phone, $4.99 for tablet) and user-friendly interface will also make it appealing to parents, educators, and non-musicians.”

The MINI-SYNTHESIZER app includes 25 presets and the capability to store an almost unlimited number of user presets programs. It also features Audiobus and inter-app audio capabilities, as well as Aftertouch for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

The MINI-SYNTHESIZER offers intuitive, flexible, and powerful control through its 12 sliders and nine switches. Here's a breakdown of the user interface:

 <li>2X FILTER switch changes filter routing (parallel or series)</li>

<li>A known issue with older iPad and iPhone models (pre-2012) may cause CPU overload during emulation.</ol></ol></ol></ol

<li>For specific iPad models including iPad 2nd gen, iPad 3rd gen, iPad 4th gen, iPad mini 1, mini 2, mini 3, and iPad Air, polyphonic mode limit shifts to 3 voices for Holy Grail REVERSE reverb instead of the standard 4 voices.

DOWNLOADING iPHONE VERSION ON iPAD:

Note that while it is possible to download the iPhone version onto an iPad, optimal performance may not be achieved. Users are advised that installing the iPhone version on an iPad may increase the likelihood of glitches and crashes compared to running the dedicated iPad version on an iPad.
